Interactive discussion with STEM professionals exploring the benefits of pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.
About this event
Representation is Power!
While developing identity and sense of self, it is essential for Black and Brown youth to see positive and successful people of color in leadership roles making a difference in the world. Having the opportunity to see, interact, and learn from thriving African-Americans will serve as a source of inspiration in the pursuit of greatness.
Blacks and Hispanics are underrepresented in science, technology, engineering and math careers. OmniQuest Youth Empowerment Initiative, Inc, a Washington, DC capacity building non-profit organization, is working to change that narrative by bringing together professionals making significant contributions to the field. Medical, engineering, and cybersecurity professionals will share insight into the various STEM career paths available as well as some ways to prepare while in middle and high school.
OmniQuest Youth Empowerment Initiative is passionate and committed to inspiring the next generation of African-American youth to THINK BIG, DREAM BIG, and DO BIG things for themselves, their families, and their communities.
